Liveaments
Hey, I won my first live game in a while about a week ago and really wanna get back into grinding live, as I've not got round to getting myself a coach for online, I feel as if I'm spewing ££ away like crazy, I don't put enough volume in either and my BRM is non excitant.
So it was only a £35 f/o at the local casino, nothing special and only about 30 runners, but I played ok, was my first live game in around 6 weeks and I enjoyed it. Started off pretty aggressive, which I don't usually do, guy on my right limped the first 5 pots of the game, so into level 2 I 3x every time he was in a hand, he would usually call-check/fold. I then put to guys out before the break (we started with like 200bb), guy raises early pos, I flat 55 on c/o and BB completes, comes 45Q, BB leads, guy 3bets, I flat BB then jams and we both call... BB has AQo, raiser has KK and I ship the lot.
From there I kinda coasted to FT going in 2/10 with some shorts tacks, only 4 paid and we said there would be no chops, I said it and a couple of player as nodded. When we got to 5 handed I had my earphones in and was tapped by player to my left, he said u don't want a deal? I said no there's on,y like £800 in the pot... Then the inevitable happened, the next hour I played almost every pot, as no one played against each other, I got down to like average stack and then (probably shouldn't have) I said to them are you scared to play V each other, they guy on my left said no we're just waiting till you bust the we're gunna chop it... I didn't take this too well and got a bit aggro with the old cunt.... Anyway I flipped once and got a deece stack and went on to win, first time paying live HU in about a year! But TID and was happy with my play.
Will be grinding UKIPT Edinburgh sats most of December, I really want to play this just even for the experience but also to try and min cash like a motherfucker!
Only other live game I've played this month was the £15k Genting Glasgow which was a £50 re-entry with 4 days 1's (Wed-Sat) then everyone who made it through their day came back on Sunday to play to a finish, I needed day 1 with 148,000 from 25,000 (average was c130,000) but went on to finish joint 41st with 40 paid haha, it was H4H so we both got a £50 entry to the next event. I shoved like 15bb over a UTG open with AKo (he has like 25bb) and he tank called with AQo and got XXQXX.
Will hopefully write better shit next time, and hopefully blog more consistently. Sorry for wasting your time :)

Grinding a Bankroll
After seeing a lot I people claim to have done it, and alot try it I've decided to attempt to grind a decent BR from a small cash sum.
I've started today with $25 playing 6max hyper turbo SnG's, very shallow amount of BI but I've played alot of 6max HT at $7> so feel confident on getting up to treble figures quickly.
Not much else to say at the minute, will stick with these $1.50 6m HT until I can get maybe 100-150 BI and try get onto the $3. Not sure what after that, or a timescale but will plan over the next few days.
OK thought I'd add in that I've got up to $65 in the first day, running pure!:)

Professional Poker Videos
So I've decided to indulge in my first poker training, and it won't be how I had planned it at the start of the year. I've signed up to a course by poker player Ivan Stokes (ILS007) focusing on SNG - here's the link to his website and you can find the twitter name etc. on there too ( http://professionalpokervideos.com/ ).

Sky Poker Tour - Glasgow
Played SPT Glasgow today, and it didn't go very well. £110 buy-in (I sat'd in for £24 just over a week ago) and just over 140 players. We had only 5k starting stacks and a 30min clock, so a few levels in it became short stack ninja poker.
I won some pots early just raising and taking it down, but nothing major. Before the break I min UTG with QQ, guy jams from mid position with KJo and I call and hold. Then after break another dude shoves on my BB and I call with 88, he has KQ... 8 in the window for another KO.
I was card dead for a while after that, had like 15-20bb for over an hour, shoving unopened pot from button, BB folds showing 83o, I show 82o :) Pretty standard.
Met a few hero's from Twitter, and spoke with guys on Twitter whilst playing probably a few meters from them, but still didn't meet and say hi lol.
I got moved table with like 20bb, I open shove 66 and get it through in my 3rd hand or so, then immediately after I call off with 77 after only min-raising, B and SB flatted, BB tank shoved, I call and he has JJ. Bust in 50th'ish or so.
Looking forward to more live pokers soon, hopefully ones with a better structure though!
