My WBCOOP Schedule

It's WBCOOP time!! In a few days time (Thursday 23/2/12) I'll be playing my first WCOOP :D , but unfortunately for me I have decided to go on holiday next Thursday :( , so I'll be playing all 10 of my games within a week. In other words I have a week to try and get in a tournament with "Daleroxxu" and bust the motherfucker!!

Here's what I've registered to at the minute;

I'm sure free-rolling 10 games can't be bad, although the ones I'll be missing next week look fun! :(

Good luck all you bloggers playing!!

Pokerstars on iPad 2

Pokerstars is now available on iPhone, iPad and Android. This app was obviously snap-downloaded, and on iPad the graphics are amazing!!

I tried it out for the first time in bed by playing an 18man SnG, which got crushed and took down the $100 FTW, so thought I'd share that with you all while munching a Canadian Maple Syrup Nature Valley bar, both are a must! Get involved :)

BTW the play that's been bugging me most this week is when I was HU in the $50, the one I ended up finishing 2nd in; I 3x - called a shove with A7o and the villain had 88, he held and I ended up loosing. Prob cost me like $600. But in this 18man I made a similar play, getting it in with A9o V 88... this time it worked out in my favour, but I seem happier with this play more that the last, probably the stack sizes helped.

Pokerstars WBCOOP 2012

So Pokerstars are running WBCOOP (World Blogger Championship Of Online Poker), with $5000 for the best blogger. I had never heard of this before, but it sound great! So thank-you Twitter and @pokerstars for showing me the light!

I have a homegame set up on Pokerstars, and like to play some non NLHE games there with "JeesusHeist", "nickdcfc" and others. So at least I won't be going into WBCOOP clueless as a lot of the games are "different", even though I'm still shockingly bad at Stud games, I'll crush the Badugi!

I've only started blogging not too long ago, but I can still tell you what I'd do with $5k! Obviously most of this would go towards BR, and probably to the new higher price for the UKIPT, having not yet shipped a satellite for Nottingham this could give me the option of direct buy-in (without having to sell almost all of myself). I pretty sure I'm going to Dusk Till Dawn anyway, even if I don't win a main event seat, then just to play the sides, but with $5k then I'd obviously play... and ship the main. Traveling from Glasgow isn't cheap, and having been to DTD before I've found its best / cheapest to drive the 4 - 5 hours, I stayed in Derby last time, it was a very nice hotel, but again more expensive than a B&B, so $5K would be much more comfertable.

Then, as I'm a greedy degen, I'd buy an iPad2! Because today Pokerstars have announced you can play in the UK on iPad, iPhone and Android! Pretty sick!! This could be the greatest thing ever for the pros that are always travelling and stuff, and this will surely take off, big time! Twitter is already going nuts for this, I have an iPhone so I'll be trying it out, but its apparently even more spectacular on iPad, so this is a must! Didn't think it would be too long before this happened, I follow Pokerstars Team Online Pro @Wizard0fAhhs (Kevin Thurman), he tweeted not so long ago he was playing Pokerstars on his iPad whilst having a bath!

Finally as I work full time, and even worse than that, I do shifts! I don't get much time for a routine, playing poker when I can really, so as I've done over the last 6 months with the weeks and weeks of holidays I get at work, with winning $5k I'd take a week or two off work and grind. This has worked out well for me before as the last twice I've taking holidays from work to grind I've had my most profitable weeks ($2k+), which is probably more than I make a month in the real world (LOLZ). Pretty sure i could sneak in a little week to Tenerife before a week of grinding, when working 3 different shifts in 3 weeks its not very healthy, and breaks in the sun are much needed. So UKIPT Nottingham, iPad 2, a week in Tenerife and the rest for bank roll! That's pretty close to $5000 IMO :) 1 time?

Another FT...

My 2nd game of the day, and I got to another FT, this time in the $5 6-max. There was 930 runners with about $750 FTW.

Unfortunately for me when we got to 7 handed I was at the table of 3, I went from 2/7 to like 6/7 until someone from the other table busted... I can't seem to play 3 handed, ever.

So SS at FT I open shove 99 and BB has QQ so GG :)

6/930 for $135

Going to review hand history from these last 2 cashes with a friend (better poker mind than mines!!)

4 Figure Score in the $55 Turbo

Well I've been on night-shift for 3 weeks in a row now and last night was my last shift of the week, I finished at 6am, I got home had some breakfast (or supper... not sure), and decided to jump onto Pokerstars. I haven't played online in a week or two with working at night, so thought I'd check out what was on.

I decided to play 1 MTT, probably (definitely) way outside my BR was the $50 + $5 turbo ($7.5K GTD), there were only about 50 reg'd so I thought "fuck-it" and took a shot.

There ended up 238 runners, with $2400 up top, I was cruising along nicely until I woke up with JJ mid-pos, I min-raise and it gets folded to the BB, he has 2000 at 50/100 (I have like 3800), he makes a 3bet to 650 and I click back to 1200 (just over a click-back), I should be shoving but wanted to induce a shove but I make my hand look stronger that it is prob... anyway the nutter just FLATS me, A73 flop and he obv jams for 1350, I make prob another bad play and call and he shows A9o. Needless to say I felt dumb, poor play, tired? Now tilted... so i sat out a few hands.

We got to the break close to the money, I had found a few spots to egt through and was just below average, after the break i got a bit of a heater, my KK UTG 7bb shove got snapped by AT and i held, then next hand KK on BB gets shoved on my AK and i held. I was now above average i picked some more spots at bubble and got ITM ($85). So 36 players left I started to open up, got a cold-4bet through in a spot where after I click "bet" i was 90% sure i was being shoved on... but he shit out of it ;-) Then again i got in good V similar stacks AK>QQ BvB and then 55>AQ on A5X for big CL with like 20 left. I stayed CL until the FT and then average stacks were about 15bb.

FT:
Not much to say here really, it was super loose, I was pretty card dead though, before i knew it there was 7 left and I started to pick spots and played pretty solid, guy on my right had like 65 vpip and was shoving his big stack over any early raise, he knocked a couple out till there was 3 left.
I was SS with 3 left, and 1 guy wanted to deal but that didn't happen, I let the 2 of them fight it out for a few hands then i got AA, the button folded and I limped from the SB (LOL), obv the BB insta jams like K4o and i snap, he went short and busted to the other guy a few hands later. So HU for $2400, i was like 3:1 behind and i just min-raised every button etc, got a few 3X in and got to a slight CL, then prob a moment of madness where he min-rasies, i 3X A7o and he jammed... I SNAP and he has 88... he held and i was crushed. I got back a few chips then get it in with KJ<KK to finished 2nd for $1785.

Was a quick game, < 3 hours, but I should be playing $20 or less, but still a good ROI. Hope I keep it up : )
